Amazon Connect, we're on our way.
We're thrilled to share a bit of a milestone on our journey to bring new platform integrations to our contact centre wallboard solution, Discover.
Just over a week ago we spun up our first Amazon Connect development environment to create a new real time data feed for Discover. I'm proud to say we've made huge progress in such a short time to develop a fully working prototype hitting all of our objectives:
A high quality dataset (we can see agents, queues, routing profiles, tasks, and scheduled callbacks all in real time)
A super stable feed (our application has been receiving data from Amazon Connect for days without interruption)
Lightning-fast refresh rates (we're reliably receiving new data every 2 seconds)
As we continue testing with more complex routing scenarios (read: try our best to break stuff), the next step is to combine real time with historical data to create a unified and complete view, then fully integrate this new dataset with Discover.
I personally can't wait to see this running for real on one of our wallboards.
